Where we work

Our main church, the school and children’s home are located in Murera, Juja, Kenya. This area is along Thika road. Aside from this location, we have established multiple worshipping centers situated in the following areas; Siakago, Kiandutu, Dandora, Kitui, Ruiru Kwa-Tom, and Njambini.

The Good Neighbors’ Church
When we came to Theta, we first started with outdoor ministry which included door to door and crusades. On Sundays we would gather in a rented space to worship. Later on, the Lord blessed us and we set up a church building where we congregate with community members to worship every Sunday.

Since 2009, we have strived to engage in the mission of Christ in our neighborhoods and nation to glorify God and change the world by being good neighbors. To that end, we offer a variety of activities, such as prayer and Bible study, choir, youth and Sunday school, and many others. Our goal is to bring people together to worship and serve God, and to make a positive impact in our community.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Judah Excellence Junior School
Judah Excellence Junior school is a private registered primary school. The school aims at providing education to the needy children around Theta who cannot afford to be in school because they come from poor backgrounds.
The school offers both Kenya National curriculum 8-4-4 system of education as well as the newly launched competency-based curriculum. So far, we have over a hundred children from preschool to standard 8. We have had candidates sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) for the last seven years.
While few parents are able to meet part of the tuition fees, we sponsor learning for majority of our pupils, since they are either orphaned or from families with barely any income.
The school has been set up on leased land with temporary constructed structures that are used as classrooms.

Kick start Rescue Centre
The home aims to raise a good foundation for children formerly living in the street/ orphan and vulnerable children.
We embark on giving hope to the neediest children living in the streets or abused in our community.
The Centre opened its doors in Theta in the year 2009 with three boys. Currently, we have 22 boys from grade 4 all the way to college level. We have successfully reintegrated over 10 boys back to their families but we are closely mentoring them together with their families.
The Centre is on a rented house with two bedrooms, a dining area and one care takers’ room.

Feeding Initiative
Jirani Mwema food Initiative
This is a proposed project. Theta is one of the areas in Kenya affected by global food crisis. The projects aim is to keep a child in school by providing at least one meal per day. Majority of the children in the area go to school on an empty stomach.
Our target will be vulnerable children whose families struggle to obtain at least one meal per day, orphans, young boys and girls who are forced to leave school to help with household chores as parents fend for food.
The project wants to see lives changed as we promote healthy children and communities that are free from poverty and hunger.
